Suva Mehndi is owned and run by a queer
gender-diverse person of Indo-Fijian descent
living and working on shíshálh swiya (Sechelt,
BC, Canada).
They use mehndi/henna as a tool to bridge
their heritage, spirituality, and interests in the
macabre. Be it traditional or modern, each
design is mindfully crafted and each stroke a
meditation.
They believe all things are connected.
Therefore, we cannot appreciate the beauty of
mehndi without acknowledging the countless
atrocities and injustices happening here on
Turtle Island, Palestine, Sudan, Kashmir, etc.
About

We have decades of experience doing mehndi on and off while simultaneously working in the wellness and finance industries.
We have done mehndi for Eid, Wedddings, and Maternity/Prenatal.
While we have primarily worked with South Asian motifs, we are working on expanding our repertoire to respectfully include North African and Persian Gulf styles.
